Celebrate National STEM Day👩‍🔬🔬💻👨‍🔬 on November 8th

National STEM Day is just around the corner, here are some resources to help!

National STEM Day is November 8th and we're excited to celebrate it! This day is an opportunity to help inspire and encourage students to pursue their interests in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and math.

In addition to planning hands-on activities, National STEM Day is a great opportunity to help students learn about STEM careers. Items in this slide deck include: an embedded video about What is STEM?, links to a variety of sites designed to assist students in learning about STEM careers, and links to fun STEM games and activities. Be sure to read the suggestions in the speaker notes at the bottom of each slide. It is recommended to share this slide in Published mode with students. This option creates slides that open and presentation mode that cannot be exited and students are not able to move items around on the slides. It is an easy and convenient option. To use a published link, simply go to File > Publish to the Web, it will generate a link and then share that link with students.

It is important to integrate STEM learning into lessons throughout the year. We hope that you find many things here at Teachers Using Tech to help you accomplish this goal and to have fun while doing so! Thank you for all that you do and for your continued encouragement and support!

Make your own copy of 👩‍🔬🔬💻👨‍🔬STEM Careers here to use and enjoy:

*NOTE: If the link says you need to request access, it is your school network blocking the share. All items are set correctly to force a copy when clicked on. Many districts block things (including file shares) that are coming from outside of their domain. Please try making the copy from a personal email or Gmail account. Then, you can share the file with your school account. If you request access, I won't be able to grant it or respond to your email request, since the issue is blocked on your end.
