❄UPDATED 12/2021❄ Here are a variety of choice boards which offer engaging ways to introduce students of all ages to coding for Computer Science Education Week!
Coding is a great way to inspire students' curiosity to learn more about computer science. Sites such as Hour of Code offer opportunities from pre-readers through high school to learn coding. There are many free courses with step by step lessons, making coding accessible to students of all ages.
Since Computer Science Education week is in December, I created several choice boards, including some with a holiday and winter theme. The fun coding activities on these choice boards range from beginner to more advanced and can be completed in an hour or less. This file is best shared with students by using the File > Publish to Web option and sharing that link with students.
I hope that you and your students enjoy some coding fun during CSE week!

*NOTE: If the link says you need to request access, it is your school network blocking the share. All items are set correctly to force a copy when clicked on. Many districts block things (including file shares) that are coming from outside of their domain. Please try making the copy from a personal email or Gmail account. Then, you can share the file with your school account. If you request access, I won't be able to grant it or respond to your email request, since the issue is blocked on your end.
