❄UPDATED 12/2021❄ Each virtual calming room contains links to relaxing nature videos with soothing sounds or instrumental music - for when students or teachers need a break. Enjoy these peaceful retreats throughout the year!
Have you and your students had an opportunity to enjoy these virtual calming rooms this year? This began as something that I created for myself last spring, but then realized that others might enjoy it, too. To date, more than 100,000 teachers and students have visited these virtual calming rooms. I have been overwhelmed by the response!
While the main room has remained consistent, the views, décor, nature videos, and music have been updated for the seasons. I have included links to all six virtual calming rooms on this one slide. My students have appreciated the consistency of the room, while looking forward to seeing how it will be redecorated each season. This slide offers the option to make the links to all calming rooms available as choices in one place.
Also, I have shared each calming room separately, which provides the option to share the rooms one at a time throughout the year as the seasons change. You can make a copy of them here to share with your students (links to make copies are at the end of each post): https://www.teachersusingtech.com/blank/categories/virtual-calming-rooms
I hope that you have the chance to visit and enjoy these spaces and that they offer you a virtual place to relax when you need a break. Another idea is to project the main room on the interactive board in the classroom or on a shared screen in virtual meetings as students work.

*NOTE: If the link says you need to request access, it is your school network blocking the share. All items are set correctly to force a copy when clicked on. Many districts block things (including file shares) that are coming from outside of their domain. Please try making the copy from a personal email or Gmail account. Then, you can share the file with your school account. If you request access, I won't be able to grant it, since the issue is blocked on your end.
